For nearly 20 years he has guided a team that transformed TWE from a mom & pop storefront to one of the East Coast’s largest AT&T retailers. Now boasting over 80 locations and 400 employees, Brian Wainwright has been the guiding force behind that transformation. The pillars of The Wireless Experience mission statement – customer service, trust, integrity, community, and loyalty – come from Brian himself. TWE has spread that philosophy across four states thanks to his ability to see the potential in overlooked markets, manage smart and strategic growth, and inspire his team to meet aggressive goals even while staying focused on TWE’s core values. But like TWE itself, Brian Wainwright rarely looks back on his accomplishments. His focus is on the future.
With 10 years in the telcom industry, Chief of Staff Joseph Lepordo is uniquely equipped to bring CEO Brian Wainwright’s vision for The Wireless Experience to life. He oversees our leadership team, executes the strategic initiatives set forth by the Chief Executive, and ensures that our staff and business partners are in the best position possible to succeed. Joseph’s track record of success shows why he’s the man for the job. As an account manager for AT&T, he managed a third party sales channel of over 40 retail stores. His strategic vision brought him to The Wireless Experience, where he initially served as district manager in our New England market. After serving as a key component of our growth there, he moved up to Chief of Staff, where he is now responsible for ensuring the grand vision for The Wireless Experience comes to fruition.
Finance is where Robert Shaver shines, and that’s no surprise given his long years of experience in the field. He has managed the systems, software, and functionality that keep The Wireless Experience operating like a well-oiled machine for years. As CFO of The Wireless Experience, he is involved in all aspects of ensuring our 75+ retail stores have modern point-of-sale systems, that our 300-employee organization has a payroll system that can manage today’s complex laws and tax code, and more. An honorably discharged nuclear reactor operator with the United States Navy, Robert spent six-plus years honing his skills in the military before becoming an invaluable part of the Wireless Experience team. If it involves crunching numbers and moving data, Mr. Shaver is our man.
Matt has over twenty years of retail experience at Toys “R” Us, where he proved his leadership in both operations and Human Resources. After his time with Toys “R” Us, Matt led the Human Resource function for ADP’s Innovation Lab in New York City. Along with his years of experience, Matt brings a new vision for human resources that has already become evident since he joined The Wireless Experience team. With a focus on Staffing, Development, Retention, and brining our People Brand to life, Matt is strategically positioning The Wireless Experience to be a premier retailer for its employees and a focus on establishing TWE as a Great Place to Work.
Jen is a creative and dynamic marketing professional with over ten years of experience in marketing, promotions, event planning and advertising. In her role as Director of Marketing for The Wireless Experience, Jen oversees all the marketing and advertising needs across all of TWE, ensuring brand integrity throughout our 80 retail AT&T Stores. Jen and her team focus on making sure the culture, community, and overall brand of The Wireless Experience is communicated to all audiences, internally and externally. If it involves marketing or branding of any kind, and in any way, Jen is the innovative team player that helps The Wireless Experience make it all happen!
In overseeing business to business sales across four states, Bob Rizzi ensures The Wireless Experience is equipped to serve its sizable corporate clientele while also partnering with other tech organizations so that TWE can provide the wireless portion of their projects. Our retail staff leans on his leadership as well. Working through our team of district managers, Bob helps The Wireless Experience offer support to small businesses, partners with AT&T to provide our stores with training and marketing, and ensures there is synchronicity between our B2B and retail sales teams. All of this is based on nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, including time as AT&T’s Northeast Region Director of Operations, Director of Sales for Authorized Retailers (overseeing over 1,000 locations), and Director of Cor (running all AT&T-owned stores in NY and NJ). If it involves working with other businesses, Bob has his hand in it.
The Wireless Experience’s 70+ retail locations would be unable to provide our customers with the best new technology without the efforts of Chris Bulmer, TWE’s Supply Chain Manager and a 10-year veteran of the organization. He works with our suppliers, oversees millions in inventory, handles the logistics of keeping dozens of stores supplied, and analyzes market trends to ensure all TWE locations are on the cutting edge and ready to serve our customers’ needs. Hands-on experience forms the backbone of what Chris does. He began in sales and quickly moved his way up to district manager, where he developed the skills necessary to manage operations on a regional scale. Thanks to that experience, Chris plays an essential role in ensuring The Wireless Experience is one of the top wireless retailers in the northeast.
You cannot experience the surging growth The Wireless Experience has enjoyed without strong leadership to manage the reams of sales data we generate on a daily basis – and that’s exactly why our Director of Sales Operations, Matt Langford, is such an important part of the TWE machine. Matt’s experience in the industry is second to none. He has served as vice president/general manager of Upstate Cellular, managed dealers for Nextel, was sales manager with Cricket Communications, and was general manager with Upstate PCS and CellVentures before joining The Wireless Experience. Here, he manages the team that handles our point of sales system, oversees reporting of our sales data, works with carriers on compensation payments and equipment credits, and anything else that helps keep all this valuable information flowing.
